Personal Injury
Personal injury includes any case in which a person suffers physical injury as a result of the wrongful conduct of a person, organization, or governmental entity. Personal injury includes:
- automobile accidents,
- trucking accidents,
- train accidents,
- construction site accidents,
- slip-and-falls and premises liability
- boating accidents,
- nursing home abuse,
- wrongful death, and
- other wrongful conduct that causes physical injury.
Personal Injury cases involve complicated issues such as proof of injuries and medical bills. In addition, insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, hospitals, and other health care providers may claim that they are entitled to some or all of any money that a victim receives in settlement or trial. As a result, if you have been injured through the conduct of another, it is important that you choose an attorney who knows these issues and who has the compassion, competence, and commitment necessary to handle your personal injury case.
Inge Johnstone takes pride in representing victims of personal injury.
Maritime Personal Injury
Maritime personal injury includes injuries occurring in or around major bodies of water, such as the Tennessee-Tombigbee waterway, major lakes, major rivers, bays, and the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, it may include injuries to certain types of workers such as dock workers, stevedores, seamen, and other crewmembers. When an injury is a maritime personal injury, specialized rules apply. If you have been injured in an accident on the water, such as a cruise ship accident, boating accident or a jet ski accident, or have been injured while working on or near the water, make sure to consult with an attorney who has experience with maritime law.

- Real Estate Fraud. Real estate fraud involves fraud in connection with the sale of a house, condominium, land or other property. Inge Johnstone has extensive real estate litigation experience and currently represents plaintiffs in real estate fraud cases.
- Insurance Fraud and Bad Faith. Whether it involves an insurance agent misrepresenting the contents of a Medicare Advantage policy to an elderly woman or an insurance company wrongfully denying the claims of policyholders, insurance fraud and bad faith remains a problem in our country today.
